Shanghai Unveils Unique Array of 1,000+ Activities to Ignite Summer Consumption

Shanghai is preparing for the fifth edition of the Shanghai Shopping Festival alongside the debut of the Shanghai Summer international consumption season. This exciting fusion of business, travel, culture, and sports will offer over 1,000 unique activities.
The shopping festival will highlight four key economic aspects: debut economy, brand economy, nighttime economy, and livestreaming economy. It will also emphasize four major consumption categories: new types, services, automobiles, and green consumption. Kicking off with the opening ceremony in late April, the festival will introduce initiatives like the Global New Product Launch Season and 55@Shanghai, also known as “love shopping Shanghai.”
From the beginning of July’s first weekend to October’s second weekend, the Shanghai Summer event will present 65 top-tier concerts, music festivals, artistic showcases, cultural exhibitions, and significant sports competitions. Highlighted attractions comprise “On the Top of the Pyramid: the Civilization of Ancient Egypt,” the immersive “City Walk Pro” Shanghai city exploration season, the debut Shanghai international cruise festival, the 2024 Shanghai Tourism Festival, and the prestigious Shanghai Masters ATP1000 tournament. Offering a total of 58 themed activities, attendees can anticipate a rich and varied urban consumption experience.
This year marks the inaugural edition of the Shanghai Summer international consumption season, set to become an annual event.
