Developed by Remark AI, this platform aims to enhance aircraft engine maintenance inspection efficiency and offer anti-collision capabilities for aircraft towing, among other features. This innovation comes at a crucial time, particularly in light of the recent inspection oversights and supply chain challenges faced by Boeing and its clients, highlighting the pressing need for AI-enhanced safety measures.
The ASP leverages a sophisticated large multimodal model to deliver a suite of services across three main areas: an engine inspection toolkit, an anti-collision system for aircraft towing, and a comprehensive multimodal model for advanced business intelligence and reporting.
The Aero-engine Inspection Kit (AIK) is designed to swiftly identify a variety of engine damages, such as erosion in the combustion chamber, tears, blade deformation, ablation, and alignment issues. It assesses the severity of detected damages and automatically compiles detailed inspection reports with images, drastically cutting down inspection times from days to roughly 30 minutes. This enables efficient, real-time inspections prior to flight departures.
Meanwhile, the Towing Anti-Collision System (TACS) equips towing operators with advanced tools to identify potential obstacles, offering warnings and preventive measures against collisions. It provides a live, 3D visualization of the aircraft’s movement path and surrounding conditions on the cockpit screen, along with collision predictions, speed tracking, and abnormal driving alerts, utilizing LIDAR technology for all-weather reliability.
Finally, the Aviation Industry Business Intelligence Reporter stands as a robust AI tool that processes vast amounts of business data, including photos and videos, to furnish critical business insights. It supports data processing, predictive analytics, semantic searches, and statistical analyses, delivering actionable recommendations for enhancing various aspects of aviation operations.
