AirAsia has enlisted 18 partners for its AirAsia Boarding Pass Privileges initiative, with the goal of enticing international travelers to visit Thailand by offering discounts at various shops, restaurants, and services totaling up to 10,000 THB.
Foreign travelers arriving in Thailand on an international AirAsia flight simply need to present their boarding pass and passport at participating establishments to enjoy substantial discounts* on a wide range of activities, shopping, dining, and services from March 22 to December 31, 2024 (subject to partner terms and conditions).
This enticing benefit aligns with the airline’s recent “Takeover Thailand” campaign, which aims to showcase Thailand, the ‘Land of Smiles’, as the preferred destination for travelers across the region.
Mr. Santisuk Klongchaiya, Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia Thailand said: “As AirAsia Thailand plays a key role in bringing international travellers into Thailand to help strengthen its economy, the airline has decided to deliver more benefits to its customers, adding value to its boarding pass by making it valid for discounts throughout each traveller’s visit. The additions will make travelling to Thailand much more fun and worthwhile.
“We thank the Tourism Authority of Thailand and all of our 18 partners for supporting this campaign and acknowledging the importance of promoting international travellers to Thailand. We are confident this effort will further stimulate Thailand’s economy for the benefit of everyone,” Mr. Santisuk said.
AirAsia, as a group, operates flights from 19 countries to Thailand along 65 routes covering 52 destinations. This includes the newly inaugurated Kuala Lumpur-Pattaya route, which commenced operations on June 17, 2024.
Dr. Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana, Chief Marketing Officer of Central Pattana plc said “Central Pattana, Thailand’s number one real estate developer boasting 41 shopping centres, including 15 renowned tourist destinations across Thailand, extends a warm welcome to international tourists hailing from 19 countries, 65 routes and 52 destinations through AirAsia.
Our promotions and exclusive privileges are crafted to enhance the travel experience throughout Thailand, facilitated by the esteemed malls of the Central Pattana Group. Here are some key highlights:
Central Shopping Centers serve as a centralized “Tourist Hub,” catering to every necessity. From transportation services to a diverse range of dining experiences, including recommendations from the Michelin Guide and cherished local street food vendors. Additionally, we organize large-scale national and world-class events, such as Songkran and an increasingly spectacular Countdown celebration each year. We’re also expanding our services from major tourist cities to secondary cities capable of accommodating tourists.
Recognizing that Chinese travelers have been the primary inbound passenger demographic for AirAsia since 2023, Central Pattana is fully equipped to offer promotional deals through international bank and e-wallet service partners like Alipay, WeChat Pay, UnionPay, and Alipay+ services. These services are readily accessible to meet the needs of both Chinese and all international tourists.
