British Airways unveiled Revolutionary £1 Flight Offer for Avios Members

British Airways has unveiled a significant enhancement to its Executive Club loyalty program, aimed at providing customers with greater flexibility in redeeming their Avios. Now, every flight offered by the airline can be accessed for as little as £1 plus Avios.

Through the Avios part payment feature, customers can now personalize their bookings by choosing the amount of Avios they wish to apply, thereby reducing the cash cost of their flight or holiday. Previously, the maximum discount achievable varied based on several factors. However, British Airways has simplified the process, allowing customers the option to slash their booking cost to a mere £1 using Avios.

It’s important to note that Avios part payment differs from booking a Reward Seat, which offers a fixed rate and limited availability. With Avios part payment, Executive Club members can utilize this option on any flight, irrespective of seat type, offering unparalleled flexibility in redeeming Avios.

Colm Lacy, British Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer, said: “We’ve listened to our Members’ feedback and we’re really excited to be introducing this latest update for them. We know that most of our customers choose the lowest cash amount when it comes to making Reward Flight bookings, so we anticipate this to be a popular option for those using Avios part payment too. Ultimately, our goal is to keeping adding more choice and flexibility for Members.”

British Airways Holidays debuted Avios part payment last year, offering holiday packages with bookings commencing at £1 plus Avios.

Utilizing Avios part payment towards bookings allows members to continue accruing Avios and Tier Points on their flights, along with any eligible bonus Avios and Tier Points. This payment option extends to flights operated by American Airlines between the UK and North America, as well as British Airways codeshares with specific partners.
