AMResorts shut down its properties in the Caribbean Islands

AMResorts has closed its all resorts and hotels in the Caribbean and Mexican-Caribbean region. The company gave a tentative reopening dates for the tourists ranging from May 8 to June 1, depending on the development of the health protocols and guidelines in each Caribbean destination due to COVID 19 outbreak globally.

 

The resorts span six brands, covering Zoetry, Secrets, Dreams, Now, Breathless and Sunscape and include 11 properties in the Dominican Republic, six in Jamaica, two each in Curacao, one in St. Martin, two in Costa Rica, one in Panama and 20 in the Mexican Caribbean.

 

 

According to the news report, guests holding current reservations have one year to change their original date of travel, according to president Gonzalo del Peon.

 

 

Blue Diamond Resorts, meanwhile, has closed its 32 properties in the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America. The closings cover the company’s eight brands, including Royalton, Hideaway, Grand Memories, CHIC, Grand Lido, Starfish, Mystique and Planet Hollywood.  The resorts of  Blue Diamond are in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Antigua, Grenada, St. Lucia, Costa Rica and Mexico.
