Allegiant and TWU Local 577 Wrap up Negotiations on Successor Labor Agreement

Allegiant and The Transport Workers Union of America, AFL-CIO Local 577 are pleased to announce the successful conclusion of negotiations on all outstanding matters for the successor to their initial collective bargaining agreement.

The initial collective bargaining agreement, which expired on December 21, 2022, saw its successor negotiated in a relatively short timeframe of just over a year and a half. This achievement was made possible by the constructive and cooperative relationship between Allegiant and the TWU.

The new Tentative Agreement, which applies to Allegiant’s 1,700+ flight attendants, introduces significant enhancements across various aspects of their compensation and benefits. These enhancements include substantial wage increases, adjustments to duty rig for extended operational delays, and designated Holiday pay. Moreover, improvements extend to retirement benefits, deadhead pay, bonus flight hour calculations, and vacation allocation and compensation.

Flight attendants at Allegiant will also benefit from improved quality of life measures concerning scheduling, hours of service, and leave of absence. Additionally, the introduction of a minimum trip pairing pay reflects the parties’ commitment to ensuring fair compensation for all employees.

“We are encouraged the negotiating teams for both Allegiant and the TWU have come to a tentative agreement,” said Allegiant President Gregory C. Anderson. “Our cabin crew take care of our customers as our ambassadors in the sky. This contract is structured to meaningfully improve their experience and better recognize their vital role as part of Team Allegiant. We look forward to the next step in the process.” 

The agreement is pending ratification through a vote by the entire union membership, anticipated to conclude next month.
