 La Dolce Vita Orient Express

La Dolce Vita Orient Express, Italy’s premier luxury rail venture, in collaboration with Accor, makes a special stop in Verona during Vinitaly, an esteemed international wine and spirits exposition in Northeast Italy, with its exclusive ‘Vinitaly Lounge’. The event will showcase a mockup of the train in the outdoor area of Hall 9-11, marking the inaugural public debut of the new partnership with the esteemed wine Salon.

This collaboration between La Dolce Vita Orient Express and Vinitaly involves an annual selection of six exceptional wines featured at the Salon, representing the diverse regions of Northern, Central, and Southern Italy. These carefully chosen wines will eventually grace the train’s prestigious wine list.

In addition, Beck & Maltese Consulting, in conjunction with La Dolce Vita Orient Express, has announced that the renowned three Michelin-starred chef, Heinz Beck, will helm the culinary offerings aboard the ‘Made in Italy’ rail journeys, coinciding with the 56th edition of Vinitaly.

Beginning with its inaugural voyages scheduled for spring 2025, passengers on La Dolce Vita Orient Express will indulge in the selected wines and a specially curated menu by Chef Heinz Beck. With aspirations for its cuisine to be recognized as a part of UNESCO heritage, the train will offer regional and thematic routes, highlighting the culinary richness of each region traversed during every expedition.

The culinary and oenological mastery highlighted at Vinitaly harmonizes seamlessly with the opulent hospitality ethos championed by Arsenale. This vision aims to cultivate partnerships with local Italian communities and celebrate the authentic hallmarks of Italian excellence, from the craftsmanship of the carriages to the selection of onboard products and interior design. These principles have been the cornerstone of La Dolce Vita Orient Express from its inception.

“Creating an industrial model capable of elevating national and international tourism offerings by systematizing what represents the most renowned Italian brand worldwide, Made In Italy. High-profile excellence and quality are at the heart of every experience that will be recreated both off and on board the train. Special thanks therefore go to chef Heinz Beck, who with his art will guarantee guests of ‘La Dolce Vita Orient Express’ experiences that are hardly repeatable, and to Vinitaly for giving us the opportunity to launch and highlight, alongside the biggest labels, also those lesser-known wineries but synonymous with quality and the uniqueness typical of our incredible country,” commented Paolo Barletta, CEO of Arsenale SpA.

“With this partnership we are giving our exhibitors at Vinitaly a new high-profile business opportunity towards a high-spending segment that adds to the promotional initiatives already on the calendar throughout the year in Italy and abroad in favor of Made in Italy wine,” states Veronafiere President Federico Bricolo.

La Dolce Vita Orient Express, with the support of Trenitalia-Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato, Fondazione Fs, and Treni Turistici Italiani, is designed for travelers in search of a unique experience, entirely dedicated to Made In Italy.

Through its iconic voyages, each revealing the splendor of Italy’s diverse regions, the train will traverse more than 16,000 km, encompassing 7,000 km of non-electrified railway, advocating the allure of unhurried exploration and sustainable tourism. The partnership between Arsenale and Vinitaly is rooted in mutual values, dedicated to showcasing the region, honoring Italian customs, and championing the excellence of ‘Made in Italy’, a singular legacy revered globally.
